Join your fellow concrete industry peers this spring at the ACI Spring 2009 Convention in San Antonio, Texas, USA, at the Marriott Rivercenter, March 15-19, 2009.

This spring’s convention, with the theme “Infrastructure – Concrete Practice & Placement” is sure to please all ACI attendees with countless opportunities to view exhibits, attend 300+ committee meetings and sessions, network with concrete professionals from all over the world, participate in competitions and workshops, join ACI committees, and of course, see the sights of San Antonio.

The ACI Spring 2009 Convention will feature a Contractors’ Day, a CMC Steel Texas Technical Tour, Student FRP Composites and Concrete Construction Competition, the themed “A Night in Old San Antonio!” Concrete Mixer, and much more.  In addition, ACI will be sponsoring a book drive at the convention to support education and literacy in local schools.  All attendees are invited to bring any new or gently used children’s books to the convention.

During the convention, attendees and guests will have the opportunity to participate in a number of special tours and activities around San Antonio.  Highlights include the San Antonio River Safari & Walking Tour, the “This is San Antonio” Tour, the Missions and Margaritas Tour, and the Festival of Flowers & Fauna Tour.  These activities are available for an additional fee.

“Our convention will be a unique combination of technical and cultural events in the beautiful setting of downtown San Antonio and the surrounding Hill Country,” said Chuck Gregory of ACI’s San Antonio Chapter and co-chair of the convention.  “Have a night to remember at the Concrete Mixer, experience the San Antonio St. Patrick’s Day celebration, and dine in a city known for its hospitality.  Come ready to work hard and play hard!”
 
Don’t delay!  Register by Feb. 15, 2009 and receive a special discounted registration fee.   In addition, the Marriott Rivercenter is offering convention attendees special rates for rooms reserved by Feb. 20, 2009.  Room rates are based on availability.  Please note that the ACI Spring 2009 Convention is taking place at the Marriott Rivercenter, not to be confused with the Marriott Riverwalk.
