Portland, OR - The American Concrete Institute recently conducted a Chapter Roundtable Meeting in Portland, Oregon which was attended by representatives from 13 Chapters around the country. The Arizona Chapter was represented by Tony Polusny and Jim Rogers, who presented ideas on web site design and use, training of supplemental certification examiners, and how to attract and retain structural engineers as members.

 

The roundtable meeting gives chapter officers a forum to share ideas and discuss items to improve Chapter operations. The meeting also provides an opportunity to interface with national ACI staff. At this year's meeting the participants shared ideas on monthly meeting topics that have been successful in their areas, and ACI staff presented several services that could be of use to the Arizona Chapter in the future.

 

The Arizona participants will bring these ideas back to the Chapter and present them to the Board of Directors at its next meeting.
