Special Inspector - December 1st - 4th

 

On December 1st - 4th, 2009, the Arizona ACI Chapter will conduct a 4 day preparation course aimed at preparing the experienced inspector to take the two part ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector certification exam, which will be given at the conclusion of the program on Friday, December 4th. The exam consists of two parts; a multiple choice general knowledge exam, and a separate plan reading exam designed to test an applicant’s ability to read and interpret reinforced concrete drawings.

This program is sponsored by the Arizona ACI Chapter and will be hosted by the City of Phoenix at their 438 West Adams building in training room 1-B. Q:  The requirements for this certification include work experience and/or education. Can I still take the class and get certified if I don't meet all these requirements?

A: 
YES - People who pass both exams and have all of the experience requirements will be issued the Concrete Construction Special Inspector Certification. People without the experience will be issued the Associate Concrete Construction Special Inspector Certification.

Q:  The requirements state that to get certified I have to already have a current ACI Field Testing Technician Grade 1 Certification. Can I still take the class and the tests if I don't have this other certification yet?

A: 
YES - You can take this class and the exams and you will have one year from the date you pass the exams to get the Field Testing Tech Grade 1 Certification, which we offer every month in Phoenix, and several times per year in Tucson, Flagstaff, and Yuma.

Q:  Does the cost of this seminar include all of the exam and certification fees?

A:  
YES - The registration fee covers all the certification expenses.

Q:  What books do I get when I register?

YES - The multiple choice exam is "open book". You are permitted to use all of the publications you recieve when you register for this course.
